What are the best SEO and Google Search Console MCP servers for Claude Code?

The best choice depends on what you need from Claude Code. For SEO data, Ahrefs, Semrush, SE Ranking and DataForSEO run official remote MCP servers. For Search Console, Google publishes no MCP server, so you use a community one. For doing the work, easyIndex is the MCP that carries the method, checks every page on the live site and measures AI visits.

  • Data servers answer questions; easyIndex gives Claude Code one step at a time, with the current rules built in, so there is nothing to install or keep updated.
  • A step completes on evidence easyIndex checks on the live site, not on the agent's report, and each batch resends the sitemap and tells Bing through IndexNow.
  • US$ 30 per website a month, every feature included, with a 7-day free trial for one website.

Facts

Which SEO MCP servers work with Claude Code?

These servers connect to Claude Code over remote HTTP, except the Search Console and Analytics ones, which run on your machine. Each line was checked on the provider's own page on 2026-10-13.

Is there an official Google Search Console MCP server?

No. Google's Search Console API documentation mentions no MCP server, so every Search Console MCP is community or vendor code that calls the public API. The most used community server, mcp-gsc, reads search analytics, inspects URLs and lists sitemaps; its delete tools stay off unless you turn them on. For GA4, the googleanalytics organization on GitHub publishes an experimental, read-only server.

What is the difference between a data MCP and easyIndex?

A data MCP answers what you ask; easyIndex tells Claude Code what to do next and checks that it happened. Its MCP carries the method with the current rules, so there is no skill to install or update. It starts from who buys and what they ask, proposes page batches the owner approves, checks each page on the live site, then measures AI visits, crawler reads and Search Console. A data server can sit next to it.

How do I add these servers to Claude Code?

Each remote server takes one command, then a browser sign-in from the /mcp menu:

# easyIndex (method, live checks, measurement)
claude mcp add --transport http easyindex https://easyindex.app/api/mcp

# SE Ranking
claude mcp add --transport http se-ranking https://api.seranking.com/mcp

# Semrush
claude mcp add --transport http semrush https://mcp.semrush.com/v2/mcp

# Then, inside Claude Code: /mcp, pick the server, Authenticate

Step by step

  1. Decide what you need. Data for research, Search Console access, or a method that does and checks the work.
  2. Add the server. Run claude mcp add with the server's URL in your site's repository.
  3. Sign in. Type /mcp in Claude Code, pick the server and authenticate in the browser.
  4. Keep keys out of the repo. Prefer OAuth; if a server needs a key, keep it in local scope, not in .mcp.json.

Common mistakes

  • Expecting a data server to build pages: it answers questions, the work is still yours.
  • Committing an API key in .mcp.json, which the project scope shares through version control.
  • Running batch URL inspection without counting the 2,000 a day per site quota.
  • Turning on a community server's delete tools on a live Search Console property.

How easyIndex solves it

easyIndex is the MCP that does the work with your agent: it gives Claude Code the next step with the current rules, never changes your site itself, checks every page on the live site, sends the sitemap once Search Console is connected and tells Bing through IndexNow, then shows AI visitors per page, AI crawler reads and Google searches, for US$ 30 per website a month after a 7-day free trial.

Frequently asked questions

Do these servers change my site?

Do I need a Search Console MCP if I use easyIndex?

No. Once Search Console is connected, easyIndex shows indexing and Google searches in its dashboard and sends the sitemap.
